Accessibility

Our goal

We aim for this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. Those are the guidelines most widely used for accessible websites in the United States.

What we've done

• Keyboard: every link, button and form works with a keyboard, with a clearly visible focus outline, plus a "Skip to content" link.
• Screen readers: pages use real headings, landmarks and labels. Form errors are announced, and the price calculator announces new prices as you change options.
• Color and text: text meets AA contrast in both light and dark themes, and nothing relies on color alone.
• Phones and zoom: pages reflow at 320 pixels wide and at 200% zoom without sideways scrolling, and buttons are at least 44 by 44 pixels.
• Motion: if your device is set to reduce motion, our animations turn off.
• Images: drawings that carry meaning have text descriptions; decorative ones are hidden from screen readers.

How we test

We check every page with automated accessibility testing (axe) in light and dark themes, at phone and desktop sizes, and by hand with a keyboard. We review the site again whenever we add a page or feature.

Known limits

• Date pickers on our forms use your browser's built-in control, which looks and behaves a little differently from browser to browser.
• Before/after videos we text you after a job are short clips without narration. If you need a written list of what was removed instead, just ask.
• Some links open your phone's texting app. If that doesn't work for you, every form on the site does the same job.
